Wildwaters Lodge

Located less than 1 and ½ hours from Kampala, this lodge is expected to become a highly popular retreat from the city, as well as one of the more luxurious places to stay along the Nile - and certainly in Uganda. Full spa facilities, a yoga deck, coffee house and fresh juice bar, as well as a natural water pool - which has been carved by the river over millennia from the pink granite - are available. (The British actress, Joanna Lumley, helped to choose its final design in fact!)

Each room is located amidst thick riverine forest and affords complete privacy, with spectacular views of the river below and its rapids. Extensive raised, wooden walkways traverse the entire island, leading to secluded areas along the banks and link up the rooms and the main lodge. The main lodge itself is built on a solid rock peninsula, amidst the rapids of the Nile River.

The lodge is at the heart of the newly formed Wildwaters Reserve, a group of mid-stream islands on the Nile. The area plays host to river otters, giant monitor lizards and a dazzling array of bird species.

Access is currently by boat; however, plans are afoot to construct a suspension bridge from the mainland.

Children are welcome!

• Children under 3 years of age are free.
• Children between the ages of 3 and 12 pay 50% of the adult rate.

Cancellation Policy:

• 30% deposit in order to secure your booking
• Balance to be paid 15 days before the date of your stay
• Any bookings made less than 15 days before your arrival date need to be made in full at the time of booking.
• Any cancellations made more than 15 days before the date of arrival incur a fee of 50% of your deposit.
• 8-15 days - a cancellation fee of 50%
• 0-7 days - a cancellation fee of 100%
