Kayak the Nile is based at Nile River Explorers campsite, Bujagali Falls. This is 8km downstream from the source of the Nile. This location offers flat pools and small rapids which are an ideal location for families with small children. After some basic training, you can guide friends or family under the watchful eye of our safety kayakers.
During the 10km trip, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore the small jungle islands, take a swim or even try out a spot of fishing.
Jinja lies approximately 80km east of Kampala, and overlooks the ‘Source of the Nile'. Despite being one of Uganda's larger towns, Jinja remains a pleasant and breezy place to spend some time. It is fast becoming renowned as the ‘adventure capital' of East Africa, and people flock here to bungee jump and experience the roaring white water rapids on rafting, kayaking, and even jet boat tours!
