The cascade that forms the first ‘big step' as the Nile makes its long journey to the Mediterranean is called Bujagali Falls - the starting point for your safari. Quad-biking is a popular activity that has been available for several years at this spot, though the safaris are unique to this part of the world.
The trips make it possible for groups, families and individuals to get off the beaten track and see special parts of the area surrounding the Source of the Nile - ride along the banks through farms, forests and villages; give the locals a wave and watch out for the amazing variety of birdlife.
This trip will show you what quad-biking is really about and will take you to some parts of the country that require quite a bit of effort to reach. You will be able to build on your experience and take on more challenging sections and there are even some ‘play' areas, where you can let loose and enjoy the bikes! You will ride through Kyabirwa village and meet some of the local people, as well as passing some of the big rapids such as ‘Total Gunga' and ‘Silverback'.
A portion of your payment goes towards community projects such as: school buildings, security lighting, tree re-planting schemes etc.
