This full day adventure takes a support vessel so that we can get out to the best and most isolated spots on the lake. The morning is spent paddling around jungle islands and offers the chance to take a jungle trek to one of the highest viewing points on the lake. A deli style lunch will be served on a stunning beach or on our 30ft support boat, before taking a slow and easy paddle back to base for sundowners.
Kayak the Nile are based at Nile River Explorers campsite, Bujagali Falls, Jinja. This is 8km downstream from the source of the Nile.
Jinja lies approximately 80km east of Kampala, and overlooks the ‘Source of the Nile'. Despite being one of Uganda's larger towns, Jinja remains a pleasant and breezy place to spend some time. It is fast becoming renowned as the ‘adventure capital' of East Africa, and people flock here to bungee jump and experience the roaring white water rapids on rafting, kayaking, and even jet boat tours!
