With seven times the volume of the Zambezi, the White Nile is the wettest and wildest river trip you'll ever take! That said, rafters can opt for a ‘Wild or Mild' experience: if you choose you go ‘wild', you will paddle as a part of a team, bursting through huge walls of white water and tackling all of the Grade 5 rapids. If you would prefer the ‘thrills without the spills', you can choose to drift along the water in the suntan raft, where your guide will take more conservative lines through the rapids and the chances of flipping are slim. Either way, the roar of the rapids will not escape you - this is truly whitewater rafting at its best.
Join the Adrift team in the smallest rafts which are only 13 feet long. You can certainly expect to be washed from the raft by the mighty rapids and to spend some time beneath a capsized raft. The two day trip is undoubtedly the best way to experience life on the Nile. Rafting approximately 48km in total, Adrift will take you on a wonderful ‘river journey' into the heart of Busoga country.
Guests are also welcome to do rafting ‘combos', such as raft and bungee combo, or a ‘threesome: raft, bungee and jet boat.

After the first day of exhilarating rafting, we cruise down to Adrift's private island in the middle of the Nile to enjoy superb food, drinks and entertainment around the campfire. Day two combines even more exciting rapids with plenty of relaxation. Floating down the calmer section of the river, we meander our way through lush forested islands and local plantations on the bank. We drift among the curious Busoga people who wave excitedly at us from their traditional wooden canoes. There are plenty of opportunities to swim, relax on the raft and spot an amazing array of wildlife, including monkeys, fish eagles, monitor lizards, otters and prolific birdlife. The trip includes:

- Briefing and distribution of safety helmets and life jackets
- Safety demonstration
- Rafting commences from the Nile High Camp - the trip starts on a calm section of water so that participants can practice with their paddles and then the rapids begin!
- Healthy meals and spectacular views from our camp on the banks of the Nile
- Delicious 3-course dinner around the campfire
- Opportunities to river surf
- At the end of the rafting, guests will be transported back to Nile High Camp for a hot shower and unlimited complimentary refreshments
- Return transfer to Jinja and Kampala
